Ok, so I had a pretty ok day yesterday and today was great. I had a “girl’s day out” today. It was lunch with friends, a jog in the park, a little shopping and a manicure. I stopped and got some liquor too so in case I feel like getting a little tipsy tonight, I have that option.

I’ve been feeling a bit blue lately so I decided to drag my roomie out for some retail therapy today. Hopefully the slowness is just a result of my schedule being unpredictable lately. Now that I’m man free again, I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled programming…well, more so anyway. I’m still gonna try to take time off to hang out with my friends and stuff, but I won’t be dropping everything a few nights a week to drive 90 minutes away and get some dick. I’m gonna let the sniffer back into my bed in a “friends with benefits” capacity again, but am definitely gonna make sure that that doesn’t interfere with my ability to make a living on the phones.

Let me just make one quick note about American Idol. WHAT THE FUCK IS SINJAYA STILL DOING ON THE SHOW? HOLY SHIT, I WANT TO SCREAM. That’s all I’ve got to say really!! I mean, yeah, Melinda, Lakisha and Stephanie are good singers. I LOVE Blake and Chris Richardson and hope they make it far…but I’m not really passionate about this season. Previous seasons by this stage I was voting like 100 times a night and really freaking out on results night, but not this year. I don’t know why, I guess I just don’t super love anyone yet. I’ll keep you updated though!

Oh yeah, speaking of updated, the photography thing. I went yesterday and watched the chick who would be my boss do a photo shoot of some kindergarten kids. It was fun and I think I’d really like that part of the job, but the more I learn about the “sales” aspect of it, the less interested I am. I talked to someone from the corporate office last night and expressed my concern with all of the traveling and she said they’d put together a map so I’d know how far away all of the schools I would be responsible for were. I guess we’ll see what happens. It’s interesting approaching a job with this “I don’t really need it, let’s see if it’s gonna work for me” type attitude. I’ve never had that luxury before.

Let me start off by saying that I’m aware that this movie didn’t get great reviews, either by professional movie critics or by viewers. Let me quickly follow that by saying that I don’t care. I really liked it. “The Number 23″ is a thriller starring Jim Carey as an average family man. He works as a dog catcher, loves his wife and is a great father. In the beginning of the film, there are a couple of glimpses of typical Carey-like humor, but the rest is pure drama and suspense.

When a bulldog named “Ned” bites him in the arm and escapes during a routine dog catching day, he’s late to pick up his wife for his birthday party. She wanders into a bookstore and finds a book that launches him on a short (they count the days during the movie), but intense journey to the edge of madness and back. I have to say that I wasn’t bored for even one second and the twist was so unexpected that I found myself saying, “WHAT?” out loud in the theater. The ending wasn’t wholly satisfying, but was deeply so…I wanted a different ending even as I understood that the ending the film possesses is by far the best for it.

I’ve never once in my life looked at Jim Carey and thought, “God damn, I want to fuck him!” until this movie. That’s a bit disturbing to me, but I will learn to live with it. I would recommend spending the money to see this on a big screen unless you have a really big tv! haha It was unusual, interesting, thought provoking and I think that Jim Carey turned in a remarkable performance that in any other movie would be seen as an Oscar level performance.
