So, it’s my birthday today! I woke up bright and early, feeling rested and ready to go. Do I feel a whole quarter of a century old? Nah!

I probably won’t be doing much in the way of celebrating today. Maybe dinner out with the roomies or a couple of friends. I’m saving my party for this weekend. Erin will be in town and it’ll actually be a combo party…my roomie’s bachelorette party and my birthday together. We’re gonna get a hotel room and party it up! I’m really excited.

I sent out a little $10 birthday gift request to past callers. Hope that didn’t bother anyone. I’m not in a place/time where I think I’ll get a bunch of gifts. I really don’t have that many callers who are “close” to me like that anymore….so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask for a little somethin’ somethin’. Every little bit I get will help me feel better about taking time off to party this weekend.

So far I’ve been signed in for about an hour and no calls, but I’ve got high hopes. Like I said, I should be on most of the day. Please call and spoil me rotten! haha

Oh yeah, I should at least briefly comment on American Idol. I like David Cook much better and he sounded awesome last night, but he choked compared to the other kid, David Archuleta. He’s definitely gonna win. Oh well, I give up. The person I like never wins anymore! ARGH

Well, as I’ve stated before, this business is very up and down. I don’t let a few slow days freak me out anymore but I’m starting to get a little bit lonely!! Right after I sent out the email about making it to 10,000 points, I was getting a ton of calls.

Lately it’s been a ghost town on my phone line. I pick it up to check and make sure there’s a dial tone and I hear that trilling flute sound and the sound of spurs and tumbleweeds.

What REALLY sucks is that I’m off tomorrow and Saturday and probably most of Sunday so I’m looking at having a super pathetic week if something doesn’t pick up. Maybe I’ll send out some free minutes or something. Hmm.

I did have a good call last night with a new guy that didn’t quite save the day, but at least made it a tiny bit less ridiculous. So thanks for that!

Oh yeah, I did blow through almost all the movies I mentioned in my last blog. “Sweeney Todd” was ok. I give it a 2.5 stars out of 5. “Little Miss Sunshine”, I didn’t really like at all. I also watched “The Water Horse” cause I love kid movies. Eh. Not impressed. I still need to watch “Last King of Scotland” and then I rented “Dan in Real Life” and I’ll probably watch that tonight between calls.

Final movie note, I’m going to see “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” on Saturday. I’m SUPER STOKED!! As you might know, “Knocked Up” is my fave comedy of all time and I’ve heard that this new one might be even BETTER. Here’s to hoping!

I have to say “UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH” about last night’s American Idol too. God. What a fucking retarded move. I’m not voting this year so I guess I can’t complain too much but seriously? How the hell did Carly go before Jason? Bullshit.

Alright! Seems that this was a largely pop culture filled blog (written while I’m munching on celery sticks covered with peanut butter and m&m’s) but hey, whatever. Not much else is going on over here lately!

I woke up this morning and my roomie said she wanted to go look at some wedding gowns. I just got home and it’s 4 pm! lol It took us a couple of hours, but she found a gown she absolutely loves (too bad she doesn’t have any $$ for it) and I’m 95% sure that I found the dress I’m going to wear as the maid of honor too. Cool!

I got the stuff I need to shoot my final photography assignment too. I have to baby sit tomorrow until noon, so I will shoot the pictures then and head to school when I drop the baby off at his grandma’s house. I’m going to deliberately shoot the stuff on a drab background so it won’t be too dang hard to print. Black and white is always tough!

I’ll be taking calls all night tonight though, so give me a call if you want to. That story is selling pretty well and it seems like most of you who are getting it like it! Let’s keep it up and maybe I’ll make some money to take another class next term…haven’t decided yet whether I want to.

I am way behind on American Idol so I’ll try to catch up tonight since I’m staying in. I’ve got a bunch of books I want to read too, so I’m off to immerse myself in some pop culture. Talk to you soon!

Well, I guess the truth is that I haven’t posted recently because I just don’t have all that much to write about. I got my laptop fixed, it just needed the operating system reinstalled. I’m glad it was that easy.

I went to my second class and it was great. We learned how to take the film out of the cassettes and make negatives. I’m going to work on my second assignment today so I’ll have two rolls of film to work on tomorrow when I go into the lab.

Calls have been insanely slow, but I see other girls talking about it on the forums so I know it’s not just me. I’m about to head to the gym and then need to do a little grocery shopping. By the time I’m done with that, it will probably be time for me to work on my assignment for a little bit, but I will definitely be signed in tonight for calls.

Final note, in case you’re wondering, of course I’m watching American Idol! I’m definitely not as into it as I was seasons 1-3, but it’s still fun to watch. No favorites yet, but I will keep you updated!

Ok, so I opted just to go ahead and get a brand new computer (with my old hard drive put in as a slave so I can move my stuff back over easily) and I will be picking that up here in a little while. I probably won’t have much time to mess with it before I head out to go to the boy’s house so I’ll probably just concentrate on getting it all situated tomorrow.

I WILL be doing calls from his house tonight though, I’ve taken way too much time off this month and need to make up for it. Last night was great for calls though and I’ve got an awesome head start today already so it’s looking ok for me to take the time to have dinner with him and watch my favorite show of all time, “Last Comic Standing“!!!!

Those of you who know me know that I love comedy. I’ve talked about a number of my favorites here before and I went and saw Josh Blue and Chris Porter from last season’s show live last year. So yeah, I absolutely love this show and am so happy that it’s back! Combined with “So You Think You Can Dance”, this might be my favorite tv time of year. American Idol is over, but that’s slipped down the list of faves so I don’t even really miss it.

Anyway, I’ll be on and off today as I run around getting stuff done and then travel. I should be signed in for a few hours starting around 9 though, hope we have a lot of fun!
