Wedding over. PHEW!

June 9th, 2008

Wow. That was by far one of the most stressful things I’ve ever gone through. It was amazing though.

I pretty much took four complete days off. Thursday I spent running around with my roomie buying last minute stuff. I went to the boy’s Thursday night after the rehearsal dinner (that’s over again for sure, now we’re not even going to be casual lovers anymore) so when I got home on Friday, we cleaned the house and finished getting everything packed up so we could load it up easily on Friday.

We also went en groupe to get our nails done Friday night after Erin arrived. That was fun! We all got pedicures and either manicures or full sets. My cousin turned into bridezilla for a minute and made me get french tips, which I hate, but lovingly did just for her. Then we all went out to dinner. We went to sleep pretty early that night, around 11.

Saturday is kind of a blur. We woke up early, all excited. All of us but Erin went to get our hair done at a nice salon. I’d gotten my colored on Thursday and I got it cut and styled on Saturday. It looked nice! One of the bridesmaids got her hair cut kinda short and it looked adorable. My cousin got the full on “bridal look” with her hair completely curled and halfway up so her tiara looked pretty.

It was nuts. A few things did go wrong…mainly, my dress BROKE. The zipper had always stuck a little bit, but we figured we’d just get a guy to yank on it the day of and it would go because it zipped when it wasn’t on me. Wrong. A guy yanked on it and it zipped for a second, but then the zipper completely split open. The dress was tight too, very tight….but luckily, one of the moms there had a needle and thread and she straight sewed me into the dress. It was out of control.

They messed up when we were walking in too. The groom’s sisters were singing and we were supposed to walk out after that, but the pastor and groom walked out WHILE they were singing. So everyone was looking for us, wondering where the hell we were…and we were waiting for the song we were supposed to hear. Then we were supposed to pause at the end of the aisle for pictures and the photographer didn’t take any when we were standing there! So I finally just started walking and then he snapped one. Duh.

Then the guy played the wrong f’ing song when my cousin was supposed to start walking. It was a little bit of a mess. Her dad was so nervous, he was visibly shaking like he had some kind of disease. Poor guy! I felt so bad for him.

The ceremony was nice though. We all had a few moments when the pastor kept saying “obey” to my cousin in the vows. I’m sure we were all wondering why the hell they didn’t take that out! The second or third time he said it, I almost lost it and started laughing. I’m glad I managed to hold it in.

The food was great, dancing was great and we set my camera up in the corner with a remote to act like a little photo booth. That was fun. Afterward, we all went back to our house to party. Drugs, alcohol and hilarity flowed and everyone had a great time.

I slept until 1 or so yesterday, fought with the boy because he didn’t come to the wedding and just generally chilled and recouped. Believe me, I needed it. I did end up taking more time off than I thought I would so now I need to stay logged in as much as I can for the next few days and try to catch up a little bit.

Talk to you soon!

I had the best time EVER!

May 27th, 2008

I just took 3.5 days off. Can you believe it? I haven’t taken that much time off since my vacation to Europe last October. I hadn’t planned to do it, but once I started partying, it just felt too damn good! haha

I had actually planned to take Friday and Saturday off. Friday was my cousin’s bridal shower and Erin came down. I spent the entire day cooking! Everyone was supposed to bring a dish and since my domestic goddess gene seems to have kicked into overdrive, I not only prepared the requested item, potato salad (because I make amazing potato salad that everyone loves), but three varieties of tea sandwiches and a strawberry rhubarb pie.

I know, I’m out of my mind! Strawberry rhubarb pie is my cousin’s favorite though and I learned how to make pie crust from scratch recently so I couldn’t help myself. Then when I went to look at foodnetwork.com for ideas for other stuff to make, they suggested tea sandwiches for a bridal shower. I made cucumber, smoked salmon/egg, and smoked turkey with that had a parsley/dill/shallot/lemon mayo.

The shower was awesome. We played games, ate a ton of food and she got a bunch of sex gag gifts that cracked us all up. Erin and I made the hottest wedding dress out of toilet paper that I’ve ever seen!

I’d gotten a text from a friend I’ve seen a few times in the past couple of years but used to be great friends with so I called her after the shower and Erin and I headed over to her place. We ended up going out with her and a friend of hers to a couple of clubs that were so close to her place that we walked. Well, until we got so drunk we could barely stand up and decided we needed to eat Taco Bell food so we got a cab so we could ride through the drive through! HAHAHA

It was super fun though. I’m really glad we went. We ended up at a latin club and the guys were hot and good dancers. YAY! We slept til around 11 or so and got up to go do some last minute shopping for the bachelorette party that night.

I got some new shoes that I LOVE LOVE LOVE and had a brand new dress to wear out that night. All the girls came over around 7 and we decided to go out to dinner and then go club hoppin’. Awesome choice.

We had so much fun, it was unreal. We skipped lines and got in free everywhere we went! I figure we should just pretend to be a bachelorette party from now on every time we go out! There were plenty of “party favors” to go around and we all danced our asses off til around 4 am. I got free drinks all night and so did my cousin…and it was sweet that none of the girls had forgotten that it was my birthday too. I didn’t feel left out of the festivities at all.

We got home, crashed pretty quick and slept like the dead for a good solid 8 hours or so. Erin headed out and my roomie and I hooked up with some friends for lunch. Then I came home and just totally chilled out all day, watching tv and reading. I could have taken calls that day, but I was just too damn tired.

Then yesterday my roomie and I headed out to some places to look at flowers. Another friend and her mom went too. We went to lunch and then hooked up with a ton of friends to go see the new “Indiana Jones” movie. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed. It was a cheese-o-rama from the first scene. I guess I was mildly entertained at some points toward the end, but I never lost myself in the story or shook the vague feeling that I’d just rather leave.

The other Indiana Jones movies are all in my top 20 too so that sucks bad. I was REALLY excited for this one and now I just wish they’d left it alone. Not only that, but now Shia Lebeouf is going to take over the franchise? I’m sorry, but I’m not down. I don’t even like him for some reason. UGH. I just read the stuff about it over on IMDB and it appears that I’m not the only one who thought it sucked.

Oh well, I am really excited about the new Batman movie and “Hancock“, a movie that’s coming out on July 2 starring Will Smith. I am so excited about it that I actually dreamed about fucking Will Smith last night. YUM!

Speaking of yum, I’m eating a gigantic bowl of strawberries for breakfast. Also yum is David Cook, who WON AMERICAN IDOL! WOOHOO! I was stunned, shocked, amazed and totally happy to see that happen. Now that that’s over, “So You Think You Can Dance” has started and it’s by far one of my favorite tv shows. So far I haven’t really been blown away by anyone, but it’s only had one episode this season. I’m sure I will be wowed soon.

Oddly enough, even with all my time off lately, I might not be around tonight. We’ll have to see. I skipped my Tolle class last week and would really like to attend tonight. I guess it depends on how busy I am on the phones today during the day. Call me up! :-)

Happy Birthday to me!

May 21st, 2008

So, it’s my birthday today! I woke up bright and early, feeling rested and ready to go. Do I feel a whole quarter of a century old? Nah!

I probably won’t be doing much in the way of celebrating today. Maybe dinner out with the roomies or a couple of friends. I’m saving my party for this weekend. Erin will be in town and it’ll actually be a combo party…my roomie’s bachelorette party and my birthday together. We’re gonna get a hotel room and party it up! I’m really excited.

I sent out a little $10 birthday gift request to past callers. Hope that didn’t bother anyone. I’m not in a place/time where I think I’ll get a bunch of gifts. I really don’t have that many callers who are “close” to me like that anymore….so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask for a little somethin’ somethin’. Every little bit I get will help me feel better about taking time off to party this weekend.

So far I’ve been signed in for about an hour and no calls, but I’ve got high hopes. Like I said, I should be on most of the day. Please call and spoil me rotten! haha

Oh yeah, I should at least briefly comment on American Idol. I like David Cook much better and he sounded awesome last night, but he choked compared to the other kid, David Archuleta. He’s definitely gonna win. Oh well, I give up. The person I like never wins anymore! ARGH

reality alert!

May 9th, 2008

**WARNING** Don’t read if you don’t want to see me as a real human being! If I’m nothing but a fuck slut to you, skip this entry!

So um, hey…some of you know that I co-own a house with my cousin. We’ve lived here around 5 yrs. or so. Anyway, it’s been on the market for the past few months because we got caught with an ARM and our payment had gone up $1000 a month over the past two years (and then back down a tiny bit last adjustment). I had called two months back and asked if there was anything they could do to lower it because it was just crazy and they said no because it was for sale.

I called back a couple of weeks ago and talked to someone else who immediately informed me that regardless of whether it was for sale, we qualified for a mortgage modification that would drop our interest rate back down to what it originally was. That lowers our payment over $700 a month! It’s only $100 more than it was when we first got the mortgage!

I am so damn excited. We’re taking the house off the market and even though I might still move, now my roomies can afford to stay here by themselves if they decide to just cash me out somehow. What’d I do to celebrate? I WENT SHOPPING! HAHAHA

This month’s payment is still the super high one, but hey, whatever. Even with a shopping spree, we can still pay it before we’re 30 days late so by God, I’m getting some new shoes. If this had happened last month, I could have stayed in my photography class.

I’m gonna go out shopping again today. I tried to find some shoes yesterday but couldn’t really. Well, that’s not totally true. I did find a pair of cute little sandals at Nordstrom, but didn’t have my bank card with me and my cousin didn’t have enough to cover them cause they were $90. Maybe I’ll go back today and get them.

It’s kinda funny because as I’ve gotten older, I’ve changed my mind a bit about buying expensive things. Not that $90 shoes are really THAT expensive, but I used to be a “shop at the mall, buy shoes at Payless” kinda girl. I still shop at the mall, but the stores I go to are definitely different these days. I hate buying things that fray, fall apart or just generally look like crap after two washes. I bought a super cute purse just a couple of months ago at Ross and it already has threads sticking out all over the place. My Coach bag is two years old, has gotten a lot of use and still looks almost new.

So yeah, I think I’ll go get those shoes. I’d rather have those and know that I’ll have them for a few years than 4 pairs that I know will last only one season.

Anyway, in other news, I’m still steadfastly single even though I broke down a few days ago and had sex with the boy. I’ve been flirtin’ it up when I go out to do stuff and I have absolutely no interest in getting back together with him…FINALLY. We still have the same chemistry, but whatever spell he had on me is broken. We got drunk and the sex wasn’t even that great…go figure, after three weeks we normally would have exploded like dynamite together.

I’ve got a party to go to tomorrow so maybe I’ll meet someone? I think I need to brush up on my flirting skills though. I went to dinner last night and this guy was CRAZY flirting and chattin’ it up with me and for some reason, didn’t ask me out. I know I could have done it, but I’m just not aggressive. So I either need to give out stronger signals or get some balls and I doubt that will happen! At least, I hope not.

I should be on and taking calls tonight, but even though this party starts in the afternoon tomorrow, I doubt I’ll be on tomorrow at all.

On a final note, thanks to the new guy who left me awesome feedback last night and pushed my listing up over 10,100! How sweet is this? “Wow, I’m in complete awe. While I’ve had the chance to play with a good number of amazing women on NF, I have never encountered someone who is as honest, down-to-earth and sexy as Nikki, while comfortably demonstrating such an imaginatively nasty and kinky side. Nikki, I cannot wait to play with you again! Thanks for making me your final call of the night.”

Brand new shower pics!

May 2nd, 2008

I think I might have shared a few of these pics in some way awhile back, but I finally got off my lazy butt and made galleries of them. I hope you like them! I’m selling them each for $10 or both for $15. I just sent out a special email to callers in good standing with an AWESOME deal of both galleries for only $10. If you didn’t get that email but have called before and want that price, just send me an email.

Here’s a little sample of gallery 11.

and one of gallery 12!

In other news, I have been a domestic goddess lately! It’s strawberry season and I’ve been hookin’ them up like no one else. First strawberry shortcake that was to die for and now I’ve got a strawberry rhubarb pie in the oven. I guess this is what I do when I don’t have a boy to obsess over!

I went out for a bit with my roomie today to pick up some invitations for her bachelorette party. It’s on the 24th so I want to get the invites out ASAP. Erin’s got a friend who works for the hotel chain we’re gonna stay at so we’re getting an amazing deal on some rooms. Yay for partying all night to celebrate the crazy loss of freedom!

Alrighty, I’ve gotta go check on my pie. I know it’s almost not even worth it to sign on for calls on Fridays, but honestly I have nothing else to do so… give me a call and we’ll entertain each other!
