Erin and I spent four full days together, so of course we did more than just have a bunch of crazy sex. Thursday we had that crazy night, Friday we went out to a bar with a couple of guys that were so lame, we ditched them pretty much right away. We were both pretty wiped from the night before (I was still drunk when I woke up and ended up yakking my breakfast on the side of the road around noon haha), so we just headed home to snuggle and do calls.

Saturday we played Wii all day. Yep, I said Wii. My roomies got a new big ol’ flat screen tv and a Wii system on Saturday. They went NUTS and got like 15 games too, so we were playing Wii sports and Mario Kart. I played Mario Kart yesterday for um, about 10 hrs. straight. What’s worse is that I feel another Wii marathon coming on today. How insane is that? And we haven’t even played the other games!

We did manage to drag ourselves out for a few hours Saturday night to go dancing. Live music, flirting, grinding…all the makings of an awesome time.

Sunday night we went out to a nice dinner at a Japanese steak house and then to see “My Best Friend’s Girl.” If you like Dane Cook’s comedy, you’d probably think it’s pretty funny. I could definitely tell that he improv’d (is that a word? I just made it up) a lot of the dialogue. Either that or he had a writer who knew his style perfectly. I was stoned, so maybe it seemed funnier than it would have been if I weren’t stoned, but hey…that’s the best way to watch comedies!

It dragged a bit in the middle, but I’d say it’s definitely worth renting. I honestly cracked up at a few lines…it made me want to dig up an old Dane Cook CD I have, but it’s not on my Itunes lame! The skits he has on that CD about working at Burger King were hilarious.

Erin’s gone now and spending time with her this past week made me realize how much I miss her when she’s not here. I think I’m leaning more and more toward moving out of Cali and heading up to Portland. How weird would it be if we were actually “together” and slept in the same bed every single night? I don’t know how that would work if we were both still dating men…it’s just so complicated, but I bet if we really tried, we could figure something out that would work for us. All that matters is that we’re happy, right?

I skipped going to the gym all 4 days she was here and honestly, I feel kinda crappy because of it. But yesterday I made half of what I normally do for some reason, even after I sent out that email about my threesome, so I don’t think I can really afford to head out even for an hour. I took those 4 days off that she was here too so I’m really behind for the month now.

Before any of you think I’m retarded and have lost my mind, I know I sent out an email saying I’d be offering 1/2 price pics on Thursday only…but then I got busy and just didn’t change the prices and the sets kept selling so I think I’ll keep them 1/2 price until the end of today. Sweet of me, huh?

I had a date on Friday. We went on a picnic and to the movies (saw “Burn After Reading”, wow what a fucking weird ass movie). He’s way too eager though and I’m already feeling pressured so I think I’ll cross him off the list.

Then yesterday I played tennis with a new guy. I’d never really played tennis before and it was fun! The guy was a definite no though, way too short and kinda funny looking. Definitely too gung ho about camping too. Weird.

Then I had a fight with the boy so I went to the gym yesterday too. I think I burned like 700 calories total working out. How insane is that? I ate like crazy too though, my body is still getting used to being back in the gym and it’s not quite ready to give up the extra couple of pounds of fat I managed to find during the summer. I’m not worried though, I will win!

Last night I went to a birthday party and got totally wasted. Dang. So there, that’s how I react when I have a couple of slow days…I take some off and then get even further in the hole! lol But hey, I’m back and taking calls. Hopefully someone will want to call and talk today.

I realized what a bummer my blog has become. Yes, it’s kinda sucking for calls lately, but that’s not YOUR fault. Well, maybe it IS your fault…maybe you’re one of the dudes who used to call me and now still reads my blog faithfully, but for whatever reason you haven’t called in 1,000 years.

Just kidding.

It’s not your fault. It’s summer! I get it. Everyone is out having fun, even me. So I’m gonna stop bitching about it being slow since I just had three awesome months in a row. I’m gonna start advertising in places other than Niteflirt and I’ll just suck it up and see what happens.

In the meantime, I’ll fill you in on what’s been going on in my life. It always amazes me how the littlest things can strike a cord with someone and generate interest. I can’t even count the number of calls I’ve gotten because I mentioned that Depeche Mode is my favorite band or that I like to cook.

By the way, if anyone has a good recipe for buttermilk pancakes, can you let me in on it? I tried Alton Brown’s recipe and though they tasted good, they never got quite brown and were too thin and flat for me. I know I could have added flour and thickened the batter up, but I figured I’d just try a difference recipe if anyone has a good one they KNOW works. I’m in the midst of trying to stop using boxed mixes for muffins, pancakes, biscuits, etc. because I’m trying to go completely organic.

I just spent two days pretty much reading non stop. I got this book “The Host” at Costco because I’d seen it around and I’d read something by this author before and enjoyed it. It is 619 pages and I read it in two days. I absolutely loved it.

Here is the synopsis:

“Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining “wild” humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading “soul” who has been given Melanie’s body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn’t expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.”

It sounds like a romance, but it definitely reads more like a thriller. I am not usually very fond of science fiction novels, but I’d bet that it’s likely you’d enjoy it even if you don’t like romances or “alien” books. This was the first time in years that I’ve literally not been able to put a book down. My cousin was getting pissed cause I took it with us when we went shopping and I read in the car on the way to the mall. I fell asleep with the lights on and it in my hands the first night.

I can’t WAIT for the movie to come out. I didn’t see anything about one anywhere, but I’m sure it will eventually happen. Click the graphic below to go to the book’s site. I personally hope that there are more books (of course), but I would prefer for them NOT to be from Wanderer’s point of view. I’d love it if she jumped to the guy who shows up in the last scene, Burns. That would be awesome.

While I was reading that, I got an email from Amazon telling me that a book I’ve been waiting for for YEARS had finally come out. Book 12 of the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. YAY! So I went and bought it before I even finished “The Host” and knocked it out in 2 days flat too. It was 728 pages. Phew.

These are action/romance books too, but might be a little too much on the side of romance for most guys. I’d say out of all of the books in this series so far though, Acheron was the most “Anne Rice”-like of them all. It struck me as a little more substantial…less like standard brain candy and more in depth like an Anne Rice or Stephen King novel might be. Kudos to Sherrilyn Kenyon. It’s fun to see an author advance and mature through the years and become better at their craft. I know she started this book a long time ago, but I’m glad she took so long to finish it.

So anyway, I don’t really have any plans for today except for maybe to go to the library and find something else to read. Hope you all are having a great week and we get to talk soon. Oh crap! I totally forgot to post about “Pineapple Express”! I did go see it. I laughed my ASS off, but I was high as a kite, so I doubt it would have been as funny if I weren’t stoned. It was WAY gorier than I thought it was going to be. EW. So if you’re a stoner, go check it out! If you don’t smoke weed, skip it! lol

Ok, so I sat here for about 4 hrs. and really didn’t get anything so I called around and gathered up some friends to go to the movies. Of course, the second I go to my computer to sign out, a guy who hasn’t called in a long time and does good calls comes through. UGH, just my luck!

I took the call just so I could apologize and sent him 5 minutes to make up for it. Hopefully I didn’t piss him off too bad. Well, not THIS, but more like yesterday? I posted that little “wahhh” cause I wasn’t getting any calls and that night I got a 2.5 hr. long call from a new guy that rocked my socks off. Seriously. THAT is the kind of call that I used to get all the time, the kind that made me love my job. Here’s the feedback he left for the call:

Then yesterday I just got call after call after call…I made almost as much yesterday as I made the entire previous week. That’s super awesome considering I’m taking most of the weekend off because I’ll be going to Portland. It couldn’t be better timing.

I just saw the dumbest movie I’ve ever seen. Yes, that’s quite a statement, but I’m sticking by it. The new “Mummy” movie was absolutely RIDICULOUS (in a bad way). People actually walked out of the theater saying it was retarded.

I love Brendan Fraser. He’s hot as hell, but holy shit this summer has been a bomb for him. “Journey to the Center of the Earth” sucked donkey balls and then Mummy was even worse.

I’m gonna go out to dinner with my roomies here in a bit, but I should be on til around midnight or so. Fridays are usually pretty slow though, so we’ll see how it goes. If you see me on, give me a call and let’s play!
