Erin update.
As most of you know, Erin (my ex girlfriend of three years and best friend of over 10) and I broke up last Sept. or so. She started dating a new guy and immediately just fell into the relationship so hard that we didn’t even talk. We argued every few weeks about how she dropped our friendship and she promised she would do better and then never did.
I called her a month ago and she didn’t call me back. Two days after I left her a message, she Myspace’d me and I went OFF on her for doing that. We hadn’t talked since then. She called me two nights ago because I texted her something and again, her new man was right there, listening to everything she was saying and butting into the conversation. She asked me then if she could call me yesterday and then she didn’t.
She did call me today though and we talked for a couple of hours. She’s engaged.
Yeah, I was floored. She hasn’t even been dating this guy for 6 months yet. They’re moving in together at the end of this month. I’m still really angry with her for dropping me like that, acting like I don’t matter to her anymore. Even if we weren’t “together” anymore, we were still friends. She says I’ll always be her best friend, blah blah, but words don’t really mean anything to me…actions do.
So we’ll see what happens. I can’t exactly be happy for her, I really don’t like the guy. Her fault for only telling me bad stuff about him though, really. The one time I did see him, he looked like he’d just finished a stint living on the streets and he was rude and standoffish. My friends thought he looked like a bum too. None of her family likes him, they think she can do better. They think he’s kinda dumb and that she’s just settling because she’s been single so long.
She says she realizes that she’s been stupid for not maintaining her friendships and like I said, we’ll see what happens. I don’t really believe that it bothers her that much…when she has a man, she doesn’t need anyone else.
In other news, I’m going out to dinner with my roomies later but should be on and taking calls otherwise. I’m on the second page of Phone Sex Central too!
