McDonald’s mini meals? wtf
Is McDonald’s desperate for ad angles or what? They have these new ads for “mini meals” everywhere. I’m seeing them on tv, on the web (myspace has them all over), hearing them on the radio, and seeing them on billboards everywhere.
I have to ask, does McDonald’s think we’re stupid? I mean, I’m a vegetarian and I don’t really eat at McDonald’s very much, but I’ve been through the drive through plenty of times with friends who do. I’ll eat the fries sometimes or the salads or yogurt parfait.
The mini meals have a drink, a small fry and then either chicken nuggets, cheeseburger or the McChicken sandwich in them for $3. Um, ok. All of these items are on the dollar menu already. Do they think we’re so dumb that we can’t figure out how to make a meal on our own?
Actually, I should ask, does McDonald’s think that WOMEN are so dumb that we can’t figure that out on our own? These ads are targeted toward women, something about small meals for small appetites.
Not only that, but with the exception of the McChicken, these combos already exist in the form of a meal! Yeah, they come with a toy and a cardboard box, but still. Do they think that women are embarrassed to order a Happy Meal? None of my friends are. They do it all the time.
I hope John Stossel does one of his “give me a break” segments on this topic. Good lord, it’s retarded.
That said, here’s my update…I worked out super hard yesterday so I’m taking it easy today. I felt like I was getting sick so I slept for 11 hrs. last night and now I feel pretty much back to normal. Vitamins and water for me and I’m sure I’ll be back to 100% tomorrow.
It’s been crazy slow again. Well, I take that back. Calls are kinda schizo lately. I’ll have a day where I double my goal and then a day where I make half. I guess it all evens out, but it’s weird on the days where I make nothing. I’m just sitting there twiddling my thumbs, wondering why no one is calling lol
I think maybe it’s time to have my site redone. I just love the one I have soooo much, I don’t really want to say goodbye to it. How silly is that?
Anyway, I should be around all day today. Give me a call and say hi (or at least grunt in my ear or something).
