Today is the big day!
Well, today is the day that I start my photography class. I think I mentioned before, since I’ve gone to school before but had never really had any “art” classes, I need to take this one prerequisite class at a community college before I can reapply to the university and to the school of arts at the u. Why? Well, they have this class at the university of course, but they only allow freshmen and sophomores to take it. LAME!
So I’ll take this class and then another in the Spring and form my portfolio from those. I’ll use that porfolio to apply to the photography program in August. I hope I get in! When I went to the information session, I was told that it was one of the most competetive programs out there and that I should definitely have a back up if I was applying. Well, I don’t have a back up because I simply won’t go back if I don’t get in.
So no gym for me this morning. I’ll stay home and sign in until I have to get ready to go. It’s about a 45 min. drive so I’ll leave an hour early today so I can get a parking pass and all that stuff. It’s a 3 hr. long class. Ugh.
I’ve already read through the first 50 pages of the text book or so. It all seems very technical and complicated. I think we’ll be doing a lot of stuff with taking the same shot with different settings to compare the outcome and focus and stuff like that. It should be interesting either way.
In other news, I spent the night with the boy again night before last. We were supposed to go out to a nice dinner and stuff but he wasn’t feeling well so we just stayed in. We had a great time though, I think we fucked for about 3 hrs. at night (he started to feel a bit better, obviously) and then woke up and went at it again around 3 am for about half an hour. YUM. And no, we’re still not getting back together and won’t be. I think he’ll be moving out of state for a new job in a few months.
Anyway, thanks again to everyone who contributed to my school fundraiser. I really appreciate that AND all the awesome calls I’ve been getting lately.
