Mini breakdown, trip getting closer!
Income in this business is such an up and down thing. One day I might make four times what I made the previous day and I know that that’s how it goes. But, even so, I’m still susceptible to mini panic attacks whenever I have more than one super slow day in a row. I know, it’s retarded. Maybe I need to refer back to this post whenever it happens again.
So I had a couple of slow days in a row and I freaked out a bit. Then yesterday it was insanely busy. I actually had at least one guy waiting for me to finish every time I got a call and I had multiple appointments set for later. I even got a $50 tribute from a guy who’d never called me before but wanted me to have fun on my trip! It was awesome.
I did have a couple of guys tell me in IM that they don’t call anymore really because I’m not available to chit chat on IM before every call. I’m sad, insulted and mad at myself when I hear that. I shouldn’t have to talk someone into calling me via instant message before every damn call…especially if they guy has called me 25 times before and knows exactly what I’m like on the phone. I also shouldn’t be expected to initiate or carry the entire pre-call conversation. I’m not psychic, I have no idea when you’re thinking about calling.
That said, I guess it’s my own fault for giving out my chat names. A lot of guys say, “Well, most of the girls do it.” and I know that’s not true. Most phone sex girls on Niteflirt would rather DIE than let guys have their screen names. So alright, I guess my official stance on that is 1. I’m not going to message you and ask you to call. 2. Sometimes I have bad days. If you can’t handle that I’m not gonna put on a fake front and act like everything’s sunshine and roses all the time, don’t IM me. 3. A call without an IM conversation every once in awhile would be great and make me feel valued.
Of course, this only applies to a very small segment of my caller base (but oddly enough, MOST of my top callers) so please disregard it if you don’t IM me and ask, “Are you available?” before every single call.
Our trip is coming up SO FAST. I sent out an email to everyone saying that Erin and I were taking orders for custom recordings for $4/min. and we’ve already gotten a few. That should be fun! She might be here Friday night but more likely it will be Saturday during the day when she arrives. We do have tentative plans to go out briefly that night for drinks with some friends, but should be back and taking calls by the time it gets busy when the bars start letting out.
I really am finally starting to get super excited. It’s been a year since my last vacation and I not only really need the break, I love to travel and Europe has been on my list of places to go since I could even think to make one. That I’m finally able to make it happen not only for me but for Erin too is really amazing to me.
I should be on all day and night tonight. Call and fuck me?
