So stressful!
Our grandma is coming to visit!! My cousin and I have been running around like crazy to get our house ready for the visit. Not only our grandma, but our uncle and his wife and our aunt and her husband are coming too. We rented this big trailer thing so they have a place to sleep.
My cousin’s mom (my other aunt) is nuts and she’s been bugging us on the phone every 5 minutes about making sure the place is spotless. We got off our asses and did a TON of stuff to the house that should have been done years ago. We did a bunch of landscaping, changed all the light fixtures in the house, did some painting, etc. The house looks amazing and after the garage sale we had where we got rid of so much stuff, I just feel so much better. How weird is that, huh?
I also got my computer all fixed. The video card was just weird and made everything look slightly distorted. I took it in with my monitor and the tech guy said he couldn’t really see the difference. So what did I do? I pulled up my site and showed it to him on 2 different monitors. He just about drooled on my shoes. He was like “I still don’t see it, you just look HOT!” and he kept asking if he could have a freebie and stuff. haha I told him he could do a call with my roomie and he said, “Ok, but only if she’s hot like you!” I love it when guys go ga ga over me!
I’ve been taking calls almost every day but it’s been dreadfully slow this week. So much so that I actually stayed signed in overnight last night to try and make up something and I didn’t even get a call until 6 am. Thankfully it lasted about 90 minutes so that’s a pretty good start to my day. I was on while finishing up cleaning today but got only one tiny short call.
Summer’s coming to a close though. Doesn’t that seem weird to say when it’s only 2/3 over? We look forward so much that sometimes it’s hard to enjoy what’s actually happening. But anyway, with summer winding down, maybe things will start to pick up a bit more. I’ve got my fingers crossed!
I will try to stay on schedule as much as possible this week while all these relatives are here, but please be patient if I’m unresponsive on IM or am not signed in when I normally am. They’re all pretty old so they shouldn’t affect my night time schedule very much! lol
