I’m a very spoiled girl.
So I’ve complained before that compared to a lot of girls on Niteflirt, I don’t really get that many gifts. It’s true. I’m not a dominant girl and for some reason, as much as guys like me, I don’t really inspire the kind of worship that a lot of other flirts do. I’ve had most of the stuff on my wish list for a long time and don’t really expect to ever get most of it.
I’ve talked about “marathon man” on here before and because our “relationship” is tempestuous at best, I really don’t talk about him much in this blog. He’s gotten me some really awesome stuff in the past though and had been promising to get me the digital camera that I want for months.
It finally came yesterday. OMG! The Canon Rebel XTi body with two lenses, a wide angle lens, an external flash, UV filters, a hard carrying case, a soft carrying case, two tripods, a lens cleaning kit, a 4 GB memory card and a bunch of other stuff! It is by far the most amazing camera I’ve ever had in my life. I admit that I don’t know much about photography, but I do know that I really love it. I’ve got a long road ahead of me with learning everything there is to know and I’m super excited about it!
I had plans yesterday to do a little bit of shopping for the house and then go to the movies (we saw “The Last Mimzy“, which was awesome) so I just threw a lens on it and ran out the door…but taking pictures with this camera was simply awesome. You hold down the button and it just click, click, clicks one picture after another! I took a picture of a little girl running by me and it actually captured her hair flying in the wind. I couldn’t even believe the clarity of the shots I got.
My main issue is going to be the editing. I know that when I pull the images into Photoshop, the balance and contrast and brightness and stuff needs to be fixed…the pictures look like they have some kind of gray or brown haze over them if the light isn’t PERFECT, but I don’t really know how to do that stuff. I’m going to take a couple of days classes in May and then see what I can find for summer before I start that certificate program (hopefully) in Fall.

In other news, Erin is coming down on Friday for sure! YAY! We will 100% be taking calls Friday night as of 9 pm PST. Those calls are $2.50/min. and you get to talk to both of us while we’re in the same room together. It’s a lot of fun…She’s coming down for my cousin’s son’s birthday party, he’s turning 1 on the 28th! I took like 1,000 pictures of him yesterday and I’ll probably take 1,000 more today! lol
The last couple of days have been pretty busy on the phones, thank God. Well, last night wasn’t really but the day before was so busy I could barely even breathe between calls. That’s good cause I was definitely behind from taking all that time off earlier in the month!
