I hope everyone had a great holiday. I haven’t been signed on much because I’ve been hanging out with my family, just enjoying being around them and stuff. So that coupled with an incident that a few of you already know about resulted in me taking a few unscheduled days off. That’s ok though, I had fun and Thanksgiving was great, couldn’t have been better really.

Yesterday we went to a Christmas tree farm and cut down a tree. It was so much fun! My sister and I played hide and seek and splashed in the mud puddles with some of our smaller family members and we had hot chocolate when we got back and decorated the house.

Today I’m going to go to the movies (to see Deja Vu) and do a little shopping with my sister. I’ve already gotten quite a bit done, but I definitely have more left than I’ve accomplished. It’s so cold here, I’m gonna have to do some shopping for myself too! lol I have warm clothes that I brought with me, but every year it just overwhelms me and I feel dumb that I didn’t remember how many layers I actually do need to stay warm. I swear I thought my poor little nose was gonna fall off yesterday!

I talked to Erin for a few hours last night and she’s definitely coming up here for a dinner party that we’re throwing on the 16th. We will be available for calls and she’ll also be bringing up everything that’s in the mail box. So, if you’re planning to send me a Christmas present, pretty much the only way I’ll get it by Christmas is if you send it to arrive in Portland before the 15th. Otherwise I’m sure I’ll see her at New Years too, but it’s not quite the same, is it?

I am going to go through my Amazon list and add some stuff as soon as I post this entry. It seems like whenever I add things, they quickly become unavailable and then my list gets small again! Just so you know though, I have NOT put anything on there that I don’t personally want. I’m not using it as a “re-gifting” center, so you can feel confident that if it’s there, I will actually use it. I’m really sorry I haven’t been updating more frequently lately. I think that this is the longest time I’ve ever gone without posting! I’ve just been so incredibly busy, I can barely even think…much less sit down and be free to IMs long enough to compose a journal entry.

I did end up going to Portland last weekend. God, it was so much fun! So I took last night off and went out to dinner with my cousin and some of our friends, then came back to the house and played dominoes. I logged on briefly around 1 to check email and stuff, but didn’t take any calls. It was nice to get a break.

Today I woke up to a phone call from other friends asking me to go to breakfast with them, so I did. It’s always fun to try and get good service to a party of eight! Then I had an errand to run, so I talked my cousin into going shopping with me. I hadn’t just “gone shopping” in awhile and I’d just picked up a new shirt the day before (ok, I hadn’t really gone shopping for that, had just run into a store after the movie cause I saw a shirt I wanted in the window) and I wanted a new pair of pants or a skirt to go with it for next weekend.

We ended up walking around the ENTIRE mall and buying things at like 10 stores! Oopsie. I just couldn’t help myself. I did some Christmas shopping, bought birthday presents for Erin and then a bunch of stuff for myself! I got some new clothes, a new purse, a new pair of shoes and a pair of fluffy socks that I couldn’t resist.

Speaking of Christmas shopping, I know that some of you are probably wondering when I’m heading up to Vancouver for Christmas. I think what I’m going to do is just bring all of my stuff with me when I go to Portland and then take a train up to Vancouver after her party. So once I leave, I will probably not be coming home to Cali at all.
