Finally something exciting happened to me…
I fell on my face. Yep, I did. Well, not exactly on my face, but on my hands and knees. My cousin stayed home today but while she was in the shower, I got a craving for an iced chai, so I packed up the baby and headed to a coffee place. So now my knees are all bruised. Funny enough, I didn’t actually bleed, but I’m definitely bruised. Then we went out shopping with a really good friend of ours who is due to have a baby in mid October. We went shopping for the “bring her home from the hospital” outfit. We went to SIX STORES before we finally found some stuff we really liked. Then we had a pretzel at the mall while my cousin filled out an application to work at a kid’s clothing store for the holidays and on the way back out to our car, we went to an electronics store.
I bought a new 19″ wide screen monitor. YAY! I had a 19 inch one before, but when it died, I went back down to 17″ because I still had my old one. Because I use Trillian though and have it docked on the side of the screen, I really wanted a bigger one again. This one, after rebate, was only $179! What a deal! We also got a new printer/copier/scanner/fax for the computer downstairs so my roomie can start working from home a bit more.
So now I’m home! Yesterday was actually pretty good for calls, I’m over my panic mode….I think. It’s gonna end up being a slower month than August was, but hey, it happens. I need to learn to have more faith in my abilities and get better at taking things in stride when it gets slow. I have to stop taking it personally when guys move on to other girls too.
