Feeling much better…
Sorry I haven’t been really updating lately! Life just seemed a tad weird this past weekend. I told a lot of you about what happened on Saturday and I got a positive response! I was pleasantly surprised by it.
I was still feeling a bit drained yesterday and I didn’t sleep well, so I mainly hung out in my room, watching tv and taking small naps during the day. I was supposed to go out with a new guy last night, so I headed out around 6 to see if I could find something new to wear. I managed to find a couple of “possible” shirts and a pair of capris, so that was a fairly successful trip.
I hadn’t given the guy my phone number (I generally don’t, until I know for sure that I want the person to be calling me. It’s my experience that guys will call up to a YEAR after I expect them to and then get annoyed when I don’t remember them and I just don’t want to go through that anymore.), so I told him that if I hadn’t seen him online by 7 or 8, I’d give him a call and we’d firm up plans. I got home around 7:30, so I gave him a call and left a message (including my # since I didn’t know if I’d be around the computer). So 8, 9, 10 come and go and I’d officially been stood up.
I was completely amazed. This guy had actually found my personal Yahoo profile and had messaged me after doing a search for girls in the local area. We chatted a bit and he seemed nice. He sent me some pictures and he was cute enough. Then he asked me out every day for like a week! I cancelled on him once because of something that I don’t quite remember, but it hadn’t really been set in stone so I didn’t feel that bad. Ya know?
He finally signs on at 10:30 and said he had 2 softball games that “went late” and he was also exhausted from not sleeping well the night before and he’s sorry that he didn’t call me. Ok, whatever. When we set the plan for me to call at 7 or 8, he obviously thought the games would be done by then. So they went over by 2 hours? Gimme a BREAK.
He obviously played the games and went out with his buddies afterward, just completely blowing me off and expecting me to be fine with it. I mean, most girls give second chances, right? Well, I just happen to have a horrible track record with going out with guys who stand me up the first time. So when he asked me for a second chances, I said, “Not sure, I’ll have to think about it.”
He did seem surprised. He said if I can forgive him and we go out, great…if not “we’ll move on.” Yeah, we will. I’m so TIRED of guys playing GAMES. Why chase me for a week straight and then fucking act like it doesn’t matter when I finally agree to go out with you? Why?
I asked a few of my good callers and they all pretty much agree that guys enjoy the chase. So I’ll give him one. I do plan on being pretty busy this week and since he doesn’t know my “work” screen names, he won’t be able to tell whether I’m really online or not if I say that I’m busy or just am not online. So even though I hate it, let the games begin! I guess at this point, if he plans something actually enticing enough for me to consider losing income by not taking calls for an evening, I’ll go out with him.
Other than that, it’s business as usual for the next few days! I’m gonna try to catch up on the income I lost over the past few days, though thanks to Johnathan, Saturday wasn’t a complete loss. *kisses* I’m actually sitting pretty well for the month and may end up having the highest daily average I’ve ever had! I hope you guys aren’t weirded out when I mention that stuff. A LOT of you ask me how much I make and stuff, so I figured you’re interested in it.
The baby’s asleep right now but it’s f’ing HOT again today so I’ll be taking him in the pool and hanging out outside once he wakes up. Right now I’m in the quiet cool calm that is my bedroom. My roomie’s gonna start feeding him food today!! We gave him a tiny bit of mashed potatoes on Friday when we went out to lunch and he LOVED it. It was so much fun to watch his little face light up when he tasted something other than milk for the first time. I can’t wait for all the pictures of messy face and stuff!
I’m hoping my roomie will come home early today so I can sign on a bit early. We’ll see though! I’m gonna get Jamie set up with some new listings today. She’s doing really well and it’s time for her to branch out!
Oh, did some of you notice that Sabrina’s back? I wasn’t sure there for awhile whether she was going to come back at all, but she is and she’s signing on almost every night! So if you missed her while she was gone, give her a call!
Oh my God, the thought of the shout outs I owe is making my head hurt, but I’m gonna do it anyway!!
